After being in "Shall We Dance on TV2", I wanted to continue dancing. When I found Malecón Dans, I realized I had found a dance form that suited me perfectly. Cuban SALSA is extremely fun and valuable to use in festive contexts. If you want to experience a little Cuba in Oslo, I recommend Malecón Dans. Kind Regards,

My Dream – Cuban SALSA in Cuba with Malecón. Would that be a good thing to do? Use the savings and a few remaining vacation days to travel to Cuba? And alone – without a husband and children, with someone I only knew little from the dance class in Oslo? Fourteen days in Cuba, with lots of salsa, 25 degrees in mid-November, and time for myself, to calm down and get work and everyday life from a distance? It sounded beautiful, but was it possible, or did it have to remain a daydream? I had doubts for a long time. Then I made the decision. "I want to be on the Cuba trip in November," I told my family. It became True to make my dream come true! It was a fortnight in Havana. Lots of dancing, life, and music. Encounters with a new and different culture, meetings with people who made an impression. Here I will share some of my impressions and glimpses from the travel diary I wrote during my 14 days in Cuba. I hope you like it! And that you might want to travel or realize what may be your dream!

"My Experience of Malecón: Authentic – That's Completely Real, Really – Warm and Welcoming – enjoy dancing/being with those who dance – good environment – joyful, fun, and enjoyable – challenging – learned a lot in a short time – cultural – in the same way as everyone, regardless of age and level – no expectations When I started dancing at Malecón Dans, it was like entering a new world. From the cold winter weather in Oslo into a warm and welcoming room with a great touch of Cuban Culture, joy, music, and dance. I quickly realized that I had come to a place I wanted to be and get to know better. Malecón's dance teacher, Arturo, is an excellent and well-educated instructor. He is very engaged and facilitates his teaching out from his knowledge and level while challenging you. There are no expectations for your dance level, and the idea is to have fun! He taught me a lot of Salsa Quickly, and I got better from week to week. Malecón became a meeting place with a group of people from different backgrounds, life situations, ages, and levels, who nevertheless meet for a common interest. I've made a lot of friends and acquaintances. It is a tremendous and inclusive environment, and there are pleasant parties and gatherings outside the salsa courses. Malecón is Truly Authentic!"

A Big Thank you to Malecón, who performed at our internal seminar organized by SAK in September 2014. And not only did they perform, but they also brought several of our Bravest Employees to the Dance, which created both Joy and Enthusiasm and Impressed Us. Two Highly-Skilled Dancers and Instructors visited us at Sundvolden this evening, and I can recommend others who need some alternative fun in combination with activity and Team Building to get in touch with Malecón! Cuban SALSA to The Mountains: While some lucky 🙂 Traveling to Cuba to dance Cuban SALSA at Easter, others will go to the mountains and take a saddle swing there. It's a sure tradition that when I go home and meet my nieces, 6 and 9 years old, it always becomes the case that we dance together. The standard procedure for all years has been swing dancing. After I started dancing Cuban SALSA last fall, swing has been smoothly rejected in favor of Cuban SALSA, and my nieces Love it! So now for Easter, after even more steps learned, there will be New Cuban Salsa hours with them at the cabin. I plan to teach Cubanita Moves across the floor and probably some self-composed Sombrero-Inspired Turns, as I don't remember which direction the arms and body are going on these turns. Dance Shows to the rest of the family will probably be of Good Entertainment Value This Year. But Cuban SALSA and Fun it Will Be! Happy Easter!

I'm going to LIVE My Life! Hello, All The Malecóns! I have ME (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). My most enormous sorrow is that I can't dance as much as I like! But one day, I woke up in agony thinking that I didn't want to give up on the disease, that I was going to LIVE My Life as much as I could, and seized an offer of Salsa Courses at Malecón! After only the First Night of Training, I slept without pain and felt like I was falling into a Completely Different Dance Universe from what I had experienced before. Before I got sick, I had taken several Salsa Courses in several places, but there were not enough boys, and the courses ended early. In addition, I was pretty unhappy that one learned the steps and possibly the choreography, and that's it. When I checked the page of Malecón before the course, I found Arturo seemed almost a little smug, Dancing Alone on the video, and I had no expectations of the system. I thought I'd use my coupon and get back to bed. But I've found the place that's my heart close, with A Man Dancing From The Spirit and teaching others not only to dance but to love the dance and gets to get that love out into his body through Dance Moves! I have a lot of fun on the courses, although I can neither remember the steps nor spin too much because my brain is a prisoner of ME (than for so long!). And I feel that even though I get tired and have to rest a lot afterward, my body is Better And Happier! So thank you, José Arturo Leguén Lores – this one is for YOU. Hug!
